Willisau

Street Scene

This colourful, busy street scene in the town of Willisau in Switzerland, means that you have got to be wide awake to have a chance of finding the difference in the two images before your friends do.

Willisau, in the canton of Lucerne, is over 700 years old, and the town gates (there’s one in the picture) are original, as is the Governor’s Castle. The Town Hall isn’t – it had to be rebuilt after a fire; but since that was in 1704, I guess it still counts as original. The town holds a jazz festival every year, but if you don’t like jazz, or can’t get to it, console yourself with being an ace photo-detective.
