Gemsstock cable car

This is how you want the weather to be when you take the cable car from Andermatt up to the summit of Gemsstock in the Swiss Alps. From the top of this mountain, at almost 3,000 metres (9,715 feet), on a day like this you have a 360˚ view over half of Switzerland, and it is said that 600 peaks are visible. The town of Andermatt itself is at an altitude of 1,500 metres (nearly 5,000 feet), and the cableway carries you up the other 1,500 in two stages via Gurschenalp, where there is a mid-station.
We hope this photo of the cable car in action makes a fun game of spotting the differences.
