Crazy Cow

Crazy Cow

A photo to play the spot the difference between images game with that might have you wondering about Swiss people‘s sanity. We are all used to those cartoon character children’s rides outside supermarkets that are designed to get children asking for money for the slot. But this Crazy Cow on a pretend skateboard is aimed at adults and is intended only to be admired, not ridden. For the colourful, life-size model cow tethered outside the Crazy Cow restaurant and bar in Leonhardstrasse, Zürich, is meant to attract you into the quirky, off-the-wall ambience of this breakfast , lunch and dinner cafe in the Swiss banking city. Inside, the bizarre decor continues, with cartoon pictures of ‘super cow‘ flying in blue super hero costume and red cape, opposite a fantasy mural of the Swiss Alps that owes more to the Smurfs than to the majestic mountain range outside. Most of the reviewers on the internet adopt the same slightly apologetic tone: ‘the food might be a bit rubbish, but give it a chance because you could enjoy it a lot more than you expect‘ seems to be the prevailing message. Have fun with the picture game, at least....
