Local food market in Switzerland

It seems to be a feature of increased prosperity in Europe that people are more conscious of the origin and purity of their food. Locally sourced food which has not done many “food miles” is what chefs and home cooks alike seem to want, and farmers’ markets have become popular, where you can (or think you can) talk to the person who grew your food. This colourful photo is of part of a temporary market in the city of Zug in Central Switzerland, where the produce is displayed on the edge of Lake Zug.
