Swiss Jumbolino

Taken from this angle, it is not difficult to see why this plane is nicknamed the ‘Jumbolino’. It’s the Avro RJ100, seen in the photograph taking off from Zurich airport, and it is its extra wide body that gets it its name. With fewer than 100 seats inside, there is more room than you get in the average jumbo jet. As well as taking passengers from Zurich to popular European cities like Venice and Florence, the RJ100 flies the Geneva to London route.
