BigFoto's main aim is to offer free images to the Internet community with in return, users publicizing BigFoto in any way possible. 
By following this basic idea, use of all images is absolutely free and the survival of the BigFoto service will be assured by plenty of web site traffic. Please see below for detailed information. If your intended use is not described, please keep the basic aim of our home page in mind and publicize BigFoto or simply send us an e-mail.

Non-commercial use
Images for private or educational purposes, including use by schools, universities etc. are free of charge. If you use the image for a web site, you must provide a link to BigFoto.  If you use BigFoto images for your own home page, please ensure that they are saved on your server.  NO "external links" to BigFoto pictures are allowed!

Commercial use
If you intend to use the images for commercial purposes, please note the following points .
For use in the print media, the homepage address www.bigfoto.com must be shown together with the images. Should there be insufficient space for the reference to be placed next to the image, e.g. if the image is used as a frontispiece, it must be placed in a prominent position in your work. Use of the image is then free of charge, irrespective of the size of the printout, circulation or useful life. 
Artists: BigFoto allows you to change all images as and how you like with any photo software to suit your ideas and needs. All we ask is that you pay us 5% of the income you achieve from the use of our images

If you don't wish to show the homepage address www.bigfoto.com, you may make a small payment to BigFoto via PayPal, the amount being dependant upon distribution. Small regional distribution costs less (about 5$ per picture) than large international distribution (about 100$ per picture). Please use the PayPal button on this site.

If you use the image for a web site, you must provide a link to bigfoto.  This should be shown as: Photo(s) by courtesy of www.bigfoto.com. The link does not have to be positioned next to the image. If you don't wish to make a link to www.bigfoto.com, you may make a small payment to BigFoto via PayPal. If you use bigfoto images for your own home page, please ensure that they are saved on your server.  NO "external links" to BigFoto pictures are allowed!

If you use images for a film, TV, or video production, you must make reference to the BigFoto web site at the end of the production. For example: Photo(s) by courtesy of www.bigfoto.com.

It is not permitted to copy BigFoto pictures onto a web site and offer them for downloading.

Whether you use the images in print or in the web, you do not need to register or request permission provided that you adhere to the above stipulations. Should you not adhere to the above stipulations, then the penalties applicable to infringement of copyright law will apply.
